Coastal Movie Guide

Editorial policy

Coastal Movie Guide aims to be clear about what a story says, how it was shaped and when a correction is needed. We favour specific, readable work over claims that reach beyond what the text can support.

Accuracy and updates

We check factual statements against suitable sources and take care with names, dates, film titles and descriptions of places. We correct material errors when they are brought to our attention and make the change clear in the relevant article where appropriate. Readers can send correction requests through the Contact page, identifying the passage and sharing supporting information if available.

Independence and partnerships

Editorial decisions remain separate from partnership arrangements. Partner material and paid placements are labelled clearly so readers can distinguish them from editorial articles. A collaboration does not guarantee favourable coverage, and we do not present promotional claims as independent editorial judgement.

Images and illustrations

Images are selected to support the subject and are not presented as documentary evidence unless their context is clear. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are identified as such. Illustrations should not be mistaken for photographs of a real venue, event or person.

Our point of view

A film night belongs to its place

The room, the weather outside and the company can all change the feel of a screening. We look at those details without prescribing a perfect way to watch.
